3A- Entrepreneurship Story
I haven't had much exposure to entrepreneurship in my life besides shark tank and my parents starting a small business. My parents started a small little company called TAG Management. The TAG stands for Tony and Anna which is my parent's names. They both decided to invest in real estate and buy houses so over time they had several houses that they rent out for different periods of time. In addition to this, they also take care of other people's properties when the residents were out of town (specifically snowbirds). This pretty much-entailed maintenance on the houses while the residents were away such as the landscaping, cleaning the house, cleaning the boat, and for some properties they help rent them out. First starting out they weren't taking care of too many peoples houses but, over time they had a lot of houses in the area to keep up with.
I enrolled in ENT3003 because many of my friends recommended this class to me. Everyone talked about how great and interesting the professor made this class. So far I can agree, the assignments make you think out of the box and they are very interesting. I also enrolled in this class because I do have an interest in creating my own company someday. I'm not the most creative person so I was hoping that this class would teach me how to think about business in a different perspective.

Hi Jessi,
ReplyDeleteHaving your parents as entrepreneurial role models is amazing! I haven't really had much exposure to entrepreneurial ideas, let alone someone to look up too. I was impressed with how you explained what your parents did as I feel like it could give students in this class ideas of what they may want to do in the future. My only feedback would be to elaborate and talk more about you!
I can definitely relate to your entrepreneurship story because my dad also started a small business. I think it's awesome having parents who are entrepreneurs to look up to and learn from. Overall, I think you did a great job with this post and enjoyed reading about the details of your parent's business. The only improvement I can think of would be to explain how all of that has impacted you.
