12A- Figuring out buyer behavior

Choosing a segment: 
For this assignment I chose three people who I felt would have a need for this product. The first person is a female in my sorority who has a close encounter with sex trafficking. The other is a parent who has a child in college right now away from home. And the last person I interviewed was a female who goes out three to four times a week All three of these people have a need for this product because one person has already been faced with danger, the other is concerned for their child, and the last person is at higher risk for something to happen.

Interviews:
 #1: Have you ever felt you were in a dangerous situation?
-               Yes, I have been a situation where someone who was sex trafficking wanted me to drive her to the bus stop, but later on when I reported the suspicious encounter to the police I found out that she was involved in sex trafficking.

·             Why would you need this product?
-               If I ever did get kidnapped I would want to have this product.

·             Do you think others could benefit from this product?
-               Yes, I think many people could benefit from his product, but I also think that some people would not think of buying it.

·             Would this product make you feel more comfortable and safe?
-               Yes, I would feel much safer with this product on.

#2: Have you ever felt you were in a dangerous situation?
-               There have been times where I felt that something was off or just feeling unsafe in certain areas.
·             Why would you need this product?
-               I would purchase this product for my child in a heart beat. Just the fact that I would know exactly where she is if something ever happened to her.
·             Do you think others could benefit from this product?
-               Absolutely.
·             Would this product make you feel more comfortable and safe?
-               I think this product would also make my child feel more comfortable when she is away at college.

·             #3:  Have you ever felt you were in a dangerous situation?
 Not in immediate danger, but I have definitely felt unsafe before.
·             Why would you need this product?
I don’t know if I would need this product. I think it would definitely help but I don’t feel the need to buy it.
·             Do you think others could benefit from this product?
 Yes, I think some people could benefit.
·             Would this product make you feel more comfortable and safe?
Yes, if I were to buy this I would feel safer knowing I could be found.

What I learned: 
I learned that this product does have demand, but at the same time some people don’t have a demand for it. It does depend on the customer. Parents are a huge market for this product because not only does it help keep them safe but parents could also use the product to track their children to know exactly where they are. Each person I interviewed said that this product would make them feel safe and comfortable even if they don’t feel the need to buy it. They all also said that people would benefit from this product and that it could have great results for reducing crime.

Conclusions: 

 I think that a lot of people would buy this product especially parents and businesses. However, there are definitely other people who have no need to buy this product because they are always with friends and already feel safe. Many people who would find this product beneficial probably don’t feel as safe as they would with the product.

    I like how you included the choosing a segment portion on the top of this post. I did not include that, and my post probably could have benefited from it. I also like how your interviews had direct questions and answers, that really provides clear proof that you took your time and got all the information needed from the interviews. Excellent job!

    I am impressed with how you included the interview and the type of questions you asked! I was also impressed with how you included why each individual you interviewed had the need right at the beginning. The only thing I wish you mentioned was what exactly your product was and how it satisfied the need so I didn't have to go back and look at your previous assignments.
