1)         Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
- Throughout this course so far I have developed social interaction skills by interviewing a number of people on certain unmet needs in society. I also have learned time management by scheduling time throughout the week to finish my assignments and watch the lectures. Also in the first assignment, we did a bug list that makes you think of problems and solutions in society. This has overall made me think more like an entrepreneur in my everyday life.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
- Today I felt like giving up when I failed my finance exam and already had to go to a study edge review for the new exam coming up. The way I pushed myself through this was by thinking that this time around I will do things differently and try harder because I like to be challenged and I will not give up on passing all of the classes necessary for my business degree.
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset'?
1. It's important to make friends in this class if you want to work ahead because you have to do peer reviews and you can't do them if people in your assigned group don’t also work ahead. So by getting phone numbers, you can ask people to work ahead with you.
2. Time management is also important because every week you will have two assignments due on Friday and two peer reviews due on Monday. If you forget to do an assignment, it can really impact your grade so it's important to make a schedule of when you're going to do the work.

3. Being open minded is also important for this class. Some assignments will have you think outside the box.

  1. Hi Jessi!
I agree that this class has taught me time management skills and it is definitely helpful to work ahead. I can relate to the moment where you gave up because I also failed my finance exam last week and its tough to immediately go to study edge after. I love your tips, especially the one to make friends in this class because I had never thought about that. Overall, great job on this assignment!
