1)         Read through your posts from this semester. Recall all of the experiences you've had along the way -- the highs, the lows -- the fun moments, and the moments of drudgery, and even the moments of dread.
-  Looking back on this semester I have had many experiences in this course. I found it fun in the beginning when we were developing our idea and going through the steps of becoming an entrepreneur. One assignment I found difficult was the elevator pitch, however, because we did it three times I was able to increase my progress and have developed a pitch for my product. I also really enjoyed the reading reflections all of my books were very interesting to read.
2) What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
- The skill I will remember later is the steps and process to take when trying to find a new product or idea. First, you need to find the opportunity for prospective customers before you can even think of a product. I think this is a valuable skill because it is similar to the real world and how I would pursue a business idea in the future. I’m most proud of even thinking of an idea that is useful to many people. Especially because its main goal is to help save peoples lives when they are in danger.
3) At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, in the end, do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
- I think I do have an entrepreneurial mindset, I have noticed I think of things different when finding a common need in the market. This makes me notice more opportunities for new ideas just throughout an average day. I wouldn’t consider my self an entrepreneur because I haven’t successfully created a product, but I do think that I may be able to one day.
4) What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
- One recommendation is to be okay with failure. This is a long process and has many struggles and hard decisions to make. I think that being able to learn from failure is the best way for growth. If you use failure as motivation it will lead you to success.
The best way to do best In this class is by keeping on top of your work and doing work ahead of time. I loved this class because of the ability to finish your work ahead of time so you can get ahead. I would tell others to be open-minded and creative when doing these assignments. You really do get what you put into this course and it can be really useful if you apply yourself.

  1. Hi Jessi! Great job with this week's post! I completely agree with your recommendation to be okay with failure and to stay on top of your work in this class. These assignments have taken up so much time, and you really can't afford to procrastinate. I like your reflections on what you've learned from this class and what you will remember.

  2. Hi Jessi!

I loved how we could work ahead in this class too as I am such a planner and love crossing stuff off my lists. It was nice knowing this class was something I could always complete early so I could focus on my harder classes. I found the elevator pitch more uncomfortable than difficult; however, as we continued throughout the course I could see my self-confidence grow.

  3. Jessi,

We took a different outlook on this course, but one thing we both dwelled on was the idea of failure and how this course does make you think long and hard about how it applies to our daily life. I believe the failure assignment allowed me to set my sights on my true goals once more and was very beneficial for me

  4. Hi Jessi!
I can relate because the elevator pitches were definitely the most difficult parts of this course for me. I agree that learning from failure and using it to succeed can be extremely beneficial. I also recommended working ahead to future students taking this course. It is great that we could work at a faster pace in this class unlike others and I think it's something that should be taken advantage of.

  5. Hi Jessi,
Great job on your final reflection post! I agree with you when you say that the steps and process of creating a new product were very formative. Since I have never done anything like that before I learned a lot of new skills. Like you, I also think I do have an entrepreneurial mindset because throughout this course we were all essentially training our minds to think and operate like entrepreneurs.
